Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Offers Hurricane Regulatory Alerts
Summaries Keep Insurers Informed of Emergency Regulatory Activity Related to Recent Natural Catastrophes

WALTHAM , Mass. – Sept. 22, 2008 – As insurers tackle the painstaking process of dealing with claims resulting from Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, Wolters Kluwer Financial Services has developed a free resource to help insurers keep track of the emergency regulations and bulletins issued by state departments of insurance.

A special “Hurricane Regulatory Alert” section has been added to Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ Insurance Compliance Solutions site, offering insurers summaries and excerpts from the emergency regulations and bulletins all in one location. Also provided are direct links to the regulations and bulletins as they are listed on the Web sites of each state department of insurance.

“After a natural catastrophe, insurers can easily be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of claims that come in,” said David Evans, vice president and general manager of Insurance Compliance Solutions at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. “On top of that, they must be diligent in watching the various emergency regulations and bulletins that are issued in response to the disaster.” Evans added that the Hurricane Regulatory Alerts make it much easier for insurers to find and access the information they are looking for so they can better serve their customers and remain compliant during a very hectic and demanding time.

To access the Hurricane Regulatory Alerts, visit https://Insurance.WoltersKluwerFS.com and click on the “Hurricane Regulatory Alert” icon on the left side of the page. This free service will be available to insurers through the remainder of the 2008 hurricane season. Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ insurance compliance experts will continue to add alerts as they arise.
